Why 199x Shitty Flickering always going On/Off Bob Deinterlacing on Raspberry Pi 4 ???

    Normal Deinterlacing (S905 @ Coreelec 9.0.1):


    RPI 4 1080i looks like 540p, always turns on and off, flickering deinterlacing (Same goes to S912):

    Thats 2024 Ultra High Quality :(

    Whe is it fixed? months ? years? decades?

    That's BOB deinterlacing. RPi4 can only do BOB when using a hardware decoding. For high quality deinterlacing (BWDIF) switch to software decoding.

    Back in pre-LE10 days there was a MMAL (GPU-assisted?) high quality deinterlacing method but I doubt that it would ever be re-implemented.

    Update tp LE12 beta, then you can do BWDIF deinterlacing with hardware decoding - there's a new option to disable hardware deinterlacing in player settings.
