Rpi 5 start/boot

  • Hi. for everyone!

My question is about rpi 5:
When it receives power, it will automatically turn on and load libreelec. Is it possible to prevent this so that when it receives power, it can only be turned on with the power button?

    Thanks for the answers!

  • The only solution I see is in settings/sytem, power saving and select for example 5 minutes to turn off after any activity...

I don't know why there is no option after power lost, we can choose the behavior, go to standby, just Boot for example. There are Linux based receivers with these options.

  • The problem is that there is a central disconnector (smart house) that disconnects the house during the day. We only turn it on when we get home from work. In this case, however, Rpi is always switched on. The non-vital parts are also disconnected at night (this is automatic) and if I don't stop the Rpi beforehand, it has a bad effect on the sd card and the connected HDDs as well. I usually only use it on weekends, so I don't want to have to stop Rpi multiple times every day.
