So when playing back 7.1 trueHD file using passthrough I get no audio and then when I exit the video to go back to Kodi menu all audio broken and need to reboot.
I am using a NUC11 and got my AVR connected via MiniDP to HDMI cable.

First file I opened was trueHD and second file in log was standard 5.1 ac3 just to show logs after all audio is gone.
turning off passthrough works but I only get Dolby Digital audio through avr that way.

Activate log level 1 by creating an advancedsettings.xml file.
Reboot, replicate the issue, and post the resulting URL of pastekodi.

nuc11 was abandoned back in 2021 because of this. This question has been asked many times since, noone cares about 11gen nucs anymore. The agreed upon reason seems to be: 'Intel has crappy Linux support' and/or 'Nucs use evil lspcons to get from dp to hdmi', They need native hdmi, then mabe, it'll work. There's a recently opened thread about the new 12gen asus p42 NUCs, maybe it works there. Seeing is believing. here:

Yes, very likely an LSPCON chip issue. You should avoid any DP->HDMI converter (internal or external):

Yes - same issue from me here: HD Audio from DisplayPort - no sound (HDMI works)
Optiplex 3050 with DP output (using a Benfei DP -> HDMI adapter). Non-HD bitstreaming works as does 7.1 multichannel LPCM, but HD audio fails.

looks like I wasted money on this last year
might sell at a loss and get R Pi 5 but Pi does not support 4k HDR 4.4.4. They still using HDMI2.0 and not moved to 2.1

sky42 had good progress with his N100 during the last weeks (see link at post #5). Maybe ask him for 4k HDR 4.4.4.
