Well it was bound to happen. Age has caught up with my eyesight and small things get hard to see like the cursor in Kodi. I was able to install a Chrome extension which works pretty well but curious if the Kodi system cursor might be adjusted? Perhaps a patch or something to scale it up a bit at least till they fix my cataract?

Use a skin with larger mouse cursors.
Technically mouse cursors are images defined in pointer.xml of any skin and can be replaced.
-
Thanks mglae. So if I understand a variable or data in pointer.xml will produce a size change? If so how might I do that?
-
I've shared my complete knowledge about Kodi mouse pointers and can't provide further advise.
-
Thanks. I did locate the xml file and took a look. If I get really adventurous I might edit some of the apparent size variables and see if I can manage to not blow up the system.
-
I'm somewhat of a stranger in a foreign land when it comes to Linux speak but after several attempts to edit the Pointer.xml file I was rewarded with cursor 2 X the original size so a win. Nothing blew up and seems a straight forward edit of the pixel variables (I'm assuming) did exactly what I wanted. I use the original skin Confluence but I reckon each skin uses a similar file.
The Pointer.xml file is read only so steps to unlock the file and also take ownership were required. A bit more involved than I expected but I managed. The file is located here:
/media/user/Storage/.kodi/addons/skin.confluence/720p/Pointer.xml
The size of 32 was replaced with 64 in all occurrences. 8 total.

Hello Again Reddirt,
Like you , my eyes aren't what they were 50 years ago. I have no problem with the cursor size in LibreElec, with the exception being the Chrome browser. When using Chrome, I feel like I need a set of binoculars to find the cursor. Did altering the Pointer.xml file affect the cursor size in Chrome or was that done with the Chrome extension? My second question is which Chrome extension did you use to change the cursor size? I tried one from the Chrome Web Store but it seemed to only offer some cartoon cursors that I would not want on the screen. Thanks for any help you can offer.

I struggled with the Chrome cursor as well. I tried some of the Chrome extension most of which didn't work for me either. What I did find is that by changing my Kodi Display resolution resulted in a much more usable Chrome display. I don't fully understand how Chrome uses the Kodi display setup but choosing a small resolution set enlarged the Chrome display and the cursor. The change didn't seem to affect normal Kodi playing of video files so give it whirl.
