I checked current one and it is working fine here.

Still don't know exactly what is not working? I see both httpd and mysql server running which means everything is ok.

Maybe you should use docker - it should be much easier.

Hi, I just installed this addon but would greatly appreciate a step by step help in using it as I do not know where to begin and how to setup a mysql Php. Is there anyone who's willing to help me? I'm using libreelec kodi version 17.1 on an old laptop. I want to use it as a server for other Kodi devices.

I am setting up a new server that I want to run mysql and kodi on. I have LE 8.0.2 installed and installed the LAMP addon

disabled the httpd since i wont be using it and have set up mysql with the all the steps:

i have no idea why kodi (LE) isn't connecting to the mysql server. Obviously mysql is running and i can putty into it from my windows PC.

okay so i just changed my advanced settings from 192.168.1.111 which is the server IP to 127.0.0.1 and now it is working.

is that a bug or is the mysql server not open to the network? only localhost?

i have another LE box that i want to connect to the network and share the mysql.

MySQL allows no outside access by default.

That's not a bug, but a security measure.

Adjust the MySQL settings for the appropriate user(s) for network access.

I think others has one le box with mysqld for other boxes at home. But maybe they change something in mysql config.

is this the my.conf? i have no idea where this file is or what to change. It just needs local network access. not web access..

Also i should mention my "advancedsettings.xml" on my "client" LE device works with the IP address. but on the "server" LE device it has to be "127.0.0.1" which i just thought was strange.

And it works pretty well for me (not big Library, two Pi's clients). Make sure that your Videos DB are innodb also (you can create it with default-storage-engine, or you can alter existing one).

I have a pretty big library.

my mysql server is running on an i5-3210m with 8gb ddr3-1600 ram with an SSD with ~500 MBps read and ~350 MBps write.

Would changing mysqld.conf to what you have above speed things up at all or should i just leave it as is?

would i just have to uncomment the innodb tags to convert the db's or would I need to rebuild my db's?

i want to install my own NewzNab index server into my htpc but it lack pear support.

did you know if it possible to add it manually and how to do it ?

At the moment I don't have time to look into this issue. Try using docker - there will work out of the box.
