Error backing up

  • Hi,

I tried to do a Create System and Kodi Backup and i got the following error: "Backup is incomplete. An error occurred. See Kodi log for details"

I tried looking at the log but nothing looked obvious to me (Log at http://ix.io/4HlI )

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

  • Thanks for the question. My previous backups have been less than 1 GB and my available space is >200GB so I don't think that is the issue. It seems to fail almost immediately after what looks like trying to back up tvheadend.

  • It looks like your 500GB drive is dying

  • I had an idea your problem was drive related. I’d try and save as much data as possible while you can still access the drive. You could then start the recovery process and possibly reformat the drive in a Linux friendly.

Before attempting this process you could try and remove the TVH client and backend and attempt to perform a backup again to rule out any problems with TVH.

Again before trying any of this could you confirm what hardware LE is installed on and what tuner you are using for TVH

  • I am using a very old intel box (i3) and an HDHomeRun Dual. I was able to find a couple year old backup that i could copy off and restored it to a new drive. Then I upgraded and updated from there. It was was more work than if the backup worked, but less than starting over from scratch. I think I am back and running now. Thanks!
