No new post notifications on subscribed threads

Well the subject days it all. My email contains a plus sign, used on Gmail for mail aliasing and that might be the culprit. Many sites consider this an illegal character for email mailboxes, but it is an allowed character.

Nothing there yet and nothing in spam as well, can do a reply here?
