I have an issue with my installation.
Tvheadend can not be started during start up the issue is
/storage/.kodi/addons/service.tvheadend42/bin/tvheadend: error while loading shared libraries: libx265.so.199: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Any help appreciated 
Known issue. We need to backport the LE11 fix to LE10 and then build a replacement add-on. That should happen in the next 24-48h.
There are some users who claim 4.3 is broken and terrible and 4.2 is the only TVH to use. There are also users who claim that 4.2 is old and broken and terrible and 4.3 is the only TVH to use. So .. 
I am using both but don't see any advantage 4.3 release over 4.2. From my perspective 4.3 is worse (more bugs / compatibility issues with Kodi ) so I recommend stay on 4.2 but both versions are usable.
BTW. it's possible to install both 4.2 and 4.3 TVH add-ons the same device and switch between easily (keep only one enabled).

Unfortunately it's a fact even 3 years later, that TVH server 4.3 is hardly usable, I have a fresh experience. :-{
The same issue described here: [BUG]: Services are listed as "Parent disabled" although the parent is enabled · Issue #1694 · tvheadend/tvheadend (github.com) And the workaround mentioned there did not work for me.
So I am now frozen on my RPi 4B with LE Nightly-20250723-f143c51 which is AFAIK the last version before TVH 4.2 removal...
I'm reading the thread and the main developer (Florian) is asking for a specific issue to be separated and debug logs to be provided to aid triage/investigation; and while a few insults and accusations are then made, nobody opens the issue and nobody provides the debug logs; the issue is not investigated, and after some time with nobody doing as asked the ticket is closed. And all you're saying here is #metoo which doesn't achieve anything. Florian is generally helpful but also a typical software engineer with a process and methodology for investigating things. If the people impacted by a problem can't be bothered to follow the basic process he's asked for, there are many other things that need his attention and he'll keep himself busy working on those instead.
Forward motion is generated by people doing things, not talking about them. If you want your problem to be fixed, feel free to open a ticket and engage.
