it would be nice if an intern grabber for Hyperion NG could be added.

The V4L2/GBM video pipeline changes don't make software grabbing as simple as it was before, so I wouldn't expect to see much movement on the add-on being updated anytime soon. If Hyperion is a must-have for you, an external/hardware grabber is the way forwards.

There was some activity last month https://github.com/raspberrypi/linux/issues/6867 but as nobody has submitted a demand for us to bump the add-ons to something that includes usable code yet, I would assume development is still work in progress.
