Current journalctl logging few hours only. Possible to extent?

    Is it possible to extent the logging of journalctl to a day or longer?

    Or make it permanent (e.g. similar to mkdir -p /var/log/journal)?

    (I tried mkdir ~/.kodi/temp/journal and restart journald with systemctl restart systemd-journald.service)

    found the logs in /run/log/journal/<dir>

    But is covering the same as
