I have tried to locate a setting that would stop the Favourites list from automatically sorting in a bizarre order. I manually resort them back to alphabetical by using the menu up / down feature. That works great as long as I don't reboot the machine. I'm runny version 10.0.2 on Raspi4B. How do I stop this this action?
Favourites list changes order everytime the system starts

Doesn't anyone have a response to the previous question? I have the same issue. Why provide a manual sort feature when the software changes it to its liking?

Complain in a Kodi forum but I think that no one will pay attention to you there either. Free stuff has the problem that they support few variations, take it or leave it

FWIW .. I don't see any issues with ordering changing with favourites (we use quite a few at home) .. the possible difference is that I use a shared SQL database on the back-end, so they are stored there not on local disk.
Best to file the bug with Kodi forums or GitHub with screenshots showing the issue

Could you tell me where are they stored on the local drive?

IIRC /storage/.kodi/userdata/favourites.xml ?? .. I don't think it's a DB file
