Screen resolution & playing resolution

Godd afternoon everybody,

I have a simple question, but i didn't find the answer in the forum:

When i set the interface resolution to 1080p, if i play a 4k film, will it be in 1080 or in 4k ?

Do i have to set the interface resolution to 3840x2160 to play 4k films ?

Depends on whether you have "Adjust display refresh rate" enabled or not.

GUI resolution should stay at 1920x1080, and adjust display refresh rate should be enabled. The guide above has recommended settings, which includes whitelisting resolutions & refresh rates to get the best experience. If you change the GUI, unless you have an x86-based device, you will probably run into stuttering during playback of non 4k content.
