LE 11 Nightly - Live TV Video frozen after StepBack in Timeshift

Observerd for several weeks on LE 11 Nightly (currently 20220204) running on RPi 4B/2GB.

Watching LiveTV with Timeshift active (Tvheadend server + client). Sometimes (but quite often, easily reproducible) after stepping back the video stops while audio continue playing. In kodi.log then repeating errors can be found: CDVDVideoCodecDRMPRIME::AddData - send packet failed: End of file (-541478725)

Using StepBack again or StepForward usually helps to recover video playing again.

It looks it's fixed yet in recent LE 11 Nightlies, did not observe it for some time, currently using LE 11 Nightly 20220325.

hmmm I tried switching to the nightly branch, but it's just too unstable for me atm (unfortunately most addons are broken) and I've reverted back to 10.0.2 for now, which is to be expected.

Would be nice if i could apply a patch to fix this particular issue on the 10.0.x branch. Really not interested in going to Kodi 20 for the time being.

I've finally switched to using the LE 11 Nightlies (Oct 2), as this issue was driving me mad.

But unfortunately this issue is still happening, not as often as with 10.0.2, but enough to be annoying.

Very frustrating, anyone else have this issue? Any Suggestions as to what I can try next?

for anyone else wondering, it looks like the issue after-all might lie with the tvheadend backend and not libreelec

i run a tvh 4.3 off a different server. changing the recording profile from 'pass' to 'matroska' has made a huge difference.

it still sometimes happens, but nowhere near as often (80% reduction), as is now tolerable

will keep experimenting
