Hi.
Please is it possible include by default the command "tcpdump" in LibreELEC?
tcpdump is very useful for troubleshoot.
Thanks!

tcpdump ships with the network-tools addon

I know. But why not provided as default in release such as: traceroute, openvpn, ping, netstat, etc.... ?
Hardly used, easier to maintain

The vast majority of our users doesn't care for those tools. Those who do, can easily add them via addons as already explained.
Adding all sorts of tools or addons by default will only have LibreELEC grow in size, which is not something we want. LibreELEC needs to be a lean (and mean) piece of software, and not turn into bloatware.

I think that 1 Megabyte of space is sufficient to include it in the release by default....
Outcave, what problem does your request solve?
My is a "feature request", not a problem.
If is not agreeded skip it.

1MB on 200MB is significant, if we don't need it, we can ship it as an add-on like has already been said.
