New installation of LE10 - transfer settings and configs?

Hello,

I'm using LibreELEC 9.2.6 on Raspberry Pi 4 and would like to move to LibreELEC 10 Beta3.

I have read and understand, that we should NOT upgrade to LE10, but make a clean install on a second SD card.

That said, is it possible to move all the settings, configs etc. from LE9 to 10? Or do I have to configure everything from scratch?

you can create a copy (or do a backup) and just update, settings etc are still kept after update

But the announcement at the startpage says explicitely: DO NOT UPGRADE!

Only if you know what you're doing. LE 10 is still in a beta / testing phase, thus things can break.

If that could be a problem for you, then simply wait for the final stable LibreELEC 10 release.

it is true in that case that you loose features that are not already ported to the new codebase, so you might loose functionality in some parts thats basically why you should not upgrade unless you are know what you are doing

ì did upgrade and worked just fine ( i did backup all my stuff just in case) .. but may not work for everyone.. there is a addon BACKUP that will backup your kodi settings..

a libreelec backup could mess things up or just work as a upgrade can too.. but the safe path is just using the backup addon or download the .kodi folder via ssh

btw if you dont need something that is in libreelect 10, like hdr.. it doenst worth the update right now.. it will break a lot of addons maybe forever..
