Whats the best version for RP4 atm

  • Hi guys,

I am playing around with libreelec on my pi4 atm!

What do you suggest as best version to use with the rp4? Here is my setup:

    - Mainly 1080p and some 4k Videos in my library.

    - also using Nextpvr with SD and HD channels

Especially the SD content had some problems on my last try - some flickering occured.

  • I am currently in this version.

Playing 1080p live TV stream is however completely out of synch regarding sound and picture. Any suggestions here?

    The SD streams look fine.

  • Any suggestions here?

Please provide a full debug log.

How to post a log (wiki)

    1. Enable debugging in Settings>System Settings>Logging
    2. Restart Kodi
    3. Replicate the problem
    4. Generate a log URL (do not post/upload logs to the forum)

use "Settings > LibreELEC > System > Paste system logs" or run "pastekodi" over SSH, then post the URL link
  • here are the logs:

As mentioned, everything seems to work fine except watching HD-channels via nextPVR. They seems to have roughly 1s of delay between the picture and the sound.

3rd Channel i switched to in the LOG is the HD channel.

  • Im actually using a pi 4b 8GB.....

Which is also stated in the log?

    Code
Feb 02 15:29:47.597136 LibreELEC kernel: OF: fdt: Machine model: Raspberry Pi 4 Model B Rev 1.4
  • That's strange. I was getting a different log file earlier.

I think the issue is that the gui mode is 4kp30 and the video is 50Hz.

    Currently LE doesn't support 4kp50/4kp60.

I'd suggest you change mode in system/video settings to 1080p60.

Then enable "adjust display refresh to match video" and use the whitelists to enable modes you care about.

Make sure this includes 1080p50 (you can include 4kp24/4kp30 etc for 4k content).

  • After some more days of testing i can confirm that 10b1 performs reeeaallllyyy good on the RPi4. Looking forward to upcoming releases :)

The only issue so far is the crash when performing a LibreElec backup in the LE Settings Menu.
