Are you sure that the /storage/.cache/transmission never is being used with this version of the addon?
I'm about to make a switch, and when I change settings Transmission GUI about stuff like incomplete dirs, it's not saved after a reboot. Other settings I can change, but not that about the incomplete dirs.
It's things like that that didn't work before custom path to settings file in the other Transmission addons to.

I've edited the settings file. Still after reboot not right.
This is what I did.
nano ~/.kodi/userdata/addon_data/service.transmission/settings.json
Change "incomplete-dir-enabled": true,
to "incomplete-dir-enabled": false,
Then reboot. After reboot it's back to "true".

In settings.json there's two lines about this feature. One line is the path, one line if this feature is enabled or not.

Yes, but transmission is started with --incomplete-dir, which overrides settings.json.

Great. If it's not to much to ask, I would love an option to delay the start up to wait for network mounts.
I always edit the startup script for transmission with a "sleep 20". Otherwise all my torrents are stopped after a reboot, since all the paths are gone.
No big deal though...

Well, no, since it's not only ongoing downloads that stops, but all my added torrents, and I do not got 3tb internal storage in my NUC.

Sorry to ask about ETA, but this fix with incomplete dirs, is it coming soon? Otherwise I think I have to move back to the milhouse version.

I wanted to use transmission with an addon for RSS feeds. I've a private RSS feed that works fine on my PC but I'm migrating my always on set up to Rasberry Pi

Which is the simplest option to install RSS capabilities to Transmission? I'd like to get my showRSS feed working in Tranmission running on LibreElec.
Any help guidance appreciated 
In the repo that thoradia wrote about, there is some addons that support custom RSS feeds I think.
The add-on you asked about is Automatic I guess? I use it myself, and I've done it for many years. I got a version compiled by me, and it works on LibreElec. I don't think it will work on RaspPi though.

Hi soder thanks for the reply. I did look at the repo that thoradia mentioned there is a lot of good stuff on there: I installed Headphone and that's working really well. Never heard of some of the items in the repo I'm going to try some more today!
The add ons mensioned in the Orginal Post were GitHub - nning/transmission-rss: Adds torrents from rss feeds to transmission web frontend. (Python) this is the one I tried to install, it needs a couple of packages and I could not install the first packaige it needed: TransmissionRPC. I downloaded the gzip of the package unzipped and ran the command to install the package and it gave me the error. I'm assuming that I have to install the 2 packages it needs before installing TransmissionRSS? TV Torrent RSS Downloader download | SourceForge.net is another one that as mension this is one of the 2 Java based tools to add RSS support to transmission.
I'm after the something like this (first 2 are the most important)

A repository for each add-on cluttered the Kodi UI.
Also, the LE repository version will soon be updated from 8.0 to 8.1.
To mitigate, I created a cross release repository service.
It automatically detects the repository version, project and architecture, and updates Kodi accordingly.
