Airplay in "headless" modus

I wanted to us a ZOTAC AD10 box to provide me with AIRPLAY support for my audio receiver using LIBREELEC. Using the AD10 "headless", i.e. without keyboard, screen and mouse would be a cool solution. However, the AD10 only provides Airplay, when I plug in a HDMI cable during start-up. Otherwise, there is no Airplay service shown and the screen image remains dark (when I plug in the screen after startup). Any idea?
