How to remove write protection

    Hi,

    I am running libreelce on a raspberry pi 3b+. I have an external usb hd that has its own power supply connected for storage. I can write to the pi's sd card but I get a write protection error when trying to write to the hdd. I can see the hdd as a share just cannot copy or move any files around on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    If the HDD has disk errors on it, Linux may have mounted it read-only as a precaution.

    What format is the HDD: NTFS, ExFAT, something else?
