HAMA Remote: Remap keys

    Hello,

    I would like to remap a few keys on the HAMA MCE remote. The remote is working out of the box, but the configuration in /etc/lirc and /etc/eventlircd.d is readonly.

    Any hint how I can remap the keys with a configuration within /storage/.... ?

    And maybe have somebody a good link how the system of lirc/eventlirc/kodi works and what the several configfiles in /etc do (/etc/lirc; /etc/eventlircd.d)?

    any help would be appreciated.

    I stopped eventlircd and the remote is still working, but not with all keys. Now I should create a keymap.xml, right?

    As far as I understand, a <keyboard> section must be used for this remote. Will this influence the function of my keyboard, that is attached as well?

    I tried to use the keymap editor plugin, but where the data is saved? Seems no "keymap.xml" appears anywhere.... The change is saved & working (map "I" to context menu), but the only files saved the last 15 minutes are

    .kodi/userdata/profiles.xml

    .kodi/userdata/keymaps/gen.xml

    .kodi/userdata/guisettings.xml

    Any idea where the plugin saves the keymap? I prefer to edit this file directly....
