Boot problem

  • I'm using generic Libreelec on a Intel processor.

I used it for about a month and a few days ago the screen suddenly went black and then reboot. When i try to start again i get this message.

    *** Error in mount_storage: mount_common: Could not mount UUID=03a48580-f02a2-4057-b5e3-30fccf817d53 ***

    ### Starting debugging shell for boot step: mount_storage... type exit to quit ###

I have already tried to format my USB stick, but it's saying that is protected against writing, and because this i can't format.

    Somebody help.

  • If you restore bootsector.img to the USB using any USB writing/flashing app it will erase the bootsector - including knowledge of the extra partitions that Windows doesn't understand, and then Windows will allow you to reformat the USB. It sounds like the original is some filesystem corruption.

Which writing/flashing app would be more recommendable?

  • I'm tried to flash bootsector.img with all these programas, but is not working. My USB pendrive is write protected. I tried to remove the write protection, but don't work. My pendrive is a 4GB SanDisk Cruzer Blade.

  • Not sure if this is useful but I had the same issue just now with 19.2 on a microSD card using the libreelec USB-SD creator. I was updating from an earlier version. I ran the program again, rewriting the SD card with the same image I had previously downloaded and the boot up went fine.

Maybe there was a glitch in the initial copy process.
