HDMI not working on some TV's

  • Hey guys. This has probably been discussed at length, but I am not getting this right.

I am using a Pi4 with LibreELEC installed with the latest version on Kodi.

On the TV the Pi is intended for, I am getting a now signal from the Pi4, but when testing on another TV it works. (Please note that I am not using it on two TV's at the same time, for troubleshooting purposes I tested it on another HDMI tv to ensure that the Pi4 is working correctly.)

The HDMI cables are original and the TV is working as my apple TV works on the port.

Any idea on how I can resolve this issue?

The TV resolutions and years of production are important to answer this.

When people start using the RPi 4B on a modern 4K TV, then often the HDMI cable is too old. Be sure you are using an HDMI 2.0 or 2.1 standard cable to be ready for 4K.

If your non-working TV is very old (first flat screens), then it could be necessary to enforce a video mode at config.txt. Read here.
