Password change via Kodi config problem

I just installed the latest version on the RPI 4 and in the KODI config setup i enabled the ssh.

Also i changed the password. First it said my one is to easy so i put harder one and I got a message that it was changed.

However i could not connect from any ssh program to the pi.

I thin the option to not ask for password also did not help, but i was changing the options so much that I'm not sure now.

I solved the problem with installing the web ssh addon, setting not to ask for password.

That allowed me to run the ssh via browser and change the root password there.

Now everything works without issues.

Hence I suspect a bug, maybe in the libreelec kodi ssh plugin.

Can somebody recreate this situation?

I don't think it's a bug. Most people simply forget to use root as their user name. Do ssh root@<YOUR_LIBREELEC_IP> from console.

did not forget that. I know its sounds unbelievable but i tried many times before posting here.

OK, if it's reproducable, then feel free to write a bug report.

Write step-by-step until you reach the bug, and provide all other necessary data.

I never had this bug on my RPi 3B+.
