Crash if TV is not started first

  • Hello,

I installed LibreELEC for the first time 2 weeks ago, and it is great. It sits on a Raspberry Pi 3, plugged in HDMI to my TV.

I noticed a problem at startup: if my TV is not started BEFORE I start the Pi, then Kodi starts in safe mode and tells me of multiple crashes. However, if my TV is on before I plug the Pi, then everything's fine.

It is a bit annoying, because both equipments are on the same electric plugs, with one button to start them together, and to turn off electricity for both.

Is there a way to change this behavior? I mean: to have LibreElec and Kodi start fine even if the TV is not yet started, then display correctly once the TV is switched on?

    Thanks for your help

    More info:

I always turn the system correctly with the off button in the GUI, not by cutting the power.

I can send logs if neede.

  • Please provide a full debug log.

How to post a log (wiki)

    1. Enable debugging in Settings>System Settings>Logging
    2. Restart Kodi
    3. Replicate the problem
    4. Generate a log URL (do not post/upload logs to the forum)

use "Settings > LibreELEC > System > Paste system logs" or run "pastekodi" over SSH, then post the URL link
