[Bug] Nightly-20190829-bd4ba9f (RPi2.arm) has "broken" docker service, *consistent* bug.

  • My 9.1.002 was working fine for a few weeks, except some odd, small issues unrelated to docker.

When I reboot my Pi now, I get the following error, EVERY time.

    LibreElecPi:~ # docker ps -a

Cannot connect to the Docker daemon at unix:///var/run/docker.sock. Is the docker daemon running?

If I go into addons and re-install the docker service entirely, it takes about 2 minutes but sure enough, it re-starts up fine. Every re-boot of my Pi, will require the service to be re-installed.

Anyone else? What can I do to provide help on this?

    Approved the thread.
  • I confirm as well with the currently latest rpi2 build (commit 96737bf).
I was able to fix it by rolling back the addon version to 9.80.1.127 (Go to addon page, select update, then select this version), this survives the reboot for me.

I did some investigation, looks like containerd has segmentation fault when started so docker also unable to start.

Probably this caused the issue: docker: updated to 19.03.2 / bumped dependencies by 5schatten · Pull Request #3789 · LibreELEC/LibreELEC.tv · GitHub

  • Thanks for the reply to this, I think I ended up switching to that beta edition on the front page and it's been behaving.
