List of S905/S905X Boxes that work with kszaq's build

    Hi there,

    I would like to buy a new box with libreelec support.

    Important specs for me are;

    - Amlogic S905 or newer (what processor is the most future proof?)

    - Minimal 4 GB RAM

    - Preferably 1000Mbps LAN + Wifi

    - SPDIF sound output

    - Box what can output Dolby TrueHD en DTS-HD Master Audio

    - For the future, 4K TV support?

    What box do you guys advice?

    If you want a minimum of 4 GB of ram, you will have to look at an s905x2, s905x3 and s922. Currently the s905x3 is not compatible with any distro of * Elec.

    Future ?

    New chips will be developed.

    None of these boxes could be user 10 years ore more.

    Most of cheap china boxes are a peace of crap - no support from manufacturer - fake ram - unsupportet wlan and bluetooth ......

    Best choice are SBC´s like Odroid N2 or Khadas VIM boxes

    I mean an Android box with the Android tv OS.

    What do you advice in that? Like Mekool KM3...

    If You need 4k and so, buy an android tv

    I have a Philips OLED running real Android TV - but my daily player is my S905X

    You where asking for a box running *ELEC - if You want this - buy a SBC
