I'm currently running Kodi 18.2 on a Pi 3 / Raspbian and I'm thinking of switching to LibreElec when my Pi 4 arrives. What I don't want to do, however, is all the setup and scanning of all my files, installing addons, and all the general setup that would require. Can I just copy my userdata folder from my current setup to a LibreElec setup and have everything (addons, settings, skins) just work? And will I lose any LibreElec functionality if I do this?

As long as you haven't made any unusual modifications, a LE backup and restore should work fine.

Thanks. Forgive my ignorance, but what's an 'LE backup and restore'. Is that an addon I'd need to install on my Raspbian setup first to make a backup?

Just go to settings --> LE --> Backup

In Kodi
- Go to Add-ons
- Install from repository
- Kodi Add-on repository
- Program Add-ons
- Backup > Install
- Run Backup and configure remote path for backup files
I'm not sure if this works with Libreelec Restore or if you need to install the Backup Add-on and run restore once Libreelec is installed.
