RPi 4 - 9.2 A1 - MPEG2 Live TV Playback

  • Hello, I'm testing a new PI 4, 2GB and am finding that playing Live TV works great with H264 channels, but with MPEG2, the video is rendered in slow motion, while audio is ahead. I understand this is Alpha, but wanted to make sure that this was a known issue, or provide logs to help fix this in future releases.

I didn't see many video settings to change to turn off any hardware acceleration, then saw that in the PI4, MPEG2 does not have hardware acceleration. So, i'm not sure what I can tweak on the GUI end to fix it.

    Thanks for any info!

I have a feeling you may need to add the FFMPEG addon from the LE repository.

    If you still have issues:

Please provide a full debug log.

How to post a log (wiki)

    1. Enable debugging in Settings>System Settings>Logging
    2. Restart Kodi
    3. Replicate the problem
    4. Generate a log URL (do not post/upload logs to the forum)

use "Settings > LibreELEC > System > Paste system logs" or run "pastekodi" over SSH, then post the URL link
