Infrared Remote Control module for Orange PI 3?

Thanks to Jernej, a lot of progress have been made for some platforms, like the orange pi 3.

I'm trying to enable the IR receiver in the orange pi 3. I think that I need the sunxi-cir module, but I still don't understand the build system. How a module can be added to the final image?

IR driver is already enabled. What is missing is patch set which enables IR on H6 and A64 and will be merged soon. I'm just waiting for that to happen. That way I'm sure I don't need to update patches later.

Patches are ready now, it's just that vacations started, so it will be delayed a little.

H6 has working IR driver for some time now in nightlies. However, LIRC is not preferred method to use it. Check LE wiki how you are suppose to set it up.

As I said, check LE wiki on that. There is no keytables active by default. You have to do it by yourself.

I finally make work the IR driver. You need a lastest version (at least after Nov 14). The nightly builds are still not update.
