Libreelec im Mac Finder

Hi,

since a few days I have in macOS finder no symbol anymore for the Libreelec computer in the network, finder is showing a question mark instead of any type of computer icon (see screen shot). Anybody has an idea where that comes from?

How does it work with avahi in Libreelec? I have enabled it and see at /etc/avahi the usual files in the read-only filesystem, but only the ssh service is announced via avahi/bonjour....?

What LE version? samba: set fruit:model = Xserve for macOS finder by chewitt · Pull Request #3416 · LibreELEC/LibreELEC.tv · GitHub was backported to 9.0 some time ago.

the newest one: Generic....9.0.2, Where is the Xserve announced in LE ?

Can it be that "Xserve" is not supported anymore in macOS ?

Ok, I see that I have to put it in my own samba.conf in .config, it was lost during my experiments with users....

Oooh, OK. Does "AppleTV1,1" work as a fruit model as well? AFAIR the list goes:

Xserve (same as RackMac)

I think the list of what works depends on the version of macOS that you have. I tried Macmini before picking the Xserve icon when making the PR.

Correct. Unfortunately it is not so simple to find out : see more here. Even if the explanation on El Capitan is outdated and the symbols changed again in Mojave, the explanation is still correct.
