I have LibreELEC installed on rPI3 for a while, showing Kodi v15

How do I update to Kodi 16/Jarvis?

LibreELEC has an update mechanism in its Settings Addon tool. By now your box should already have been updated if you have installed the official build.

Alternatively, you can download the update file and place it in the Update folder. See HOW TO:Update LibreELEC - LibreELEC

If you are running Kodi Helix (v15) you are running OpenELEC not LibreELEC .. so watch the "how to migrate" video:
