Hello,
Is it possible to use the passtrough with a raspberry pi?
Yes, within the limits of the audio formats that Raspberry Pi supports.
Thanks for your answer, the formats that I have most often are the DTS / DTS HD-MA, AC3 / Dolby TrueHD
But I also have E-AC3, DTS-HD HRA, Atmos ...
You'll get the DTS core of HD formats on Raspberry Pi, but that's all.
Even if i decode on the pi, and if i use passtrough ?
Users often and wrongly believe pass-through is some magic "hardware doesn't touch the bitstream" method, but in reality the hardware has to support the stream format to correctly detect and handle it as a pass-through stream. Raspberry Pi doesn't support any HD formats.
Thank you for your help, and on the PC with LibreElec, will choosing Passtrough be supported?
The config is an AMD A6 with an A68HM-E33V2
Passthrough will be supported, but (again) what can be passed-through will depend on what the hardware supports running under Linux.
