Problem with python lib2to3 missing (Google Music EXP)

It seems like lib2to3 python module is missing from python used on LibreELEC.

I first posted on the corresponding add-on thread

With this log present:

Is There any way of Adding this module myself (through an add-on ideally) or any plan to include this module in a near future ?

The module will not be required in Kodi 19 as the software is migrating to Python 3, however that may not be until 2020+

You could try and copy "2to3" from a working environment into a directory in $PATH on LE. It might work.

I will try something today but wouldn't be a good idea to include it in the next dot release so transition to 19/python 3 would be smoother ?

I saw something about this on Github lib2to3 from python 2 needs to be installed after python 3 similar module.

Filesystem is readonly so cant do much in a pinch...

mkdir /storage/bin

nano /storage/.profile

add at the bottom

PATH=/storage/bin:$PATH

Copy 2to3 into /storage/bin and log back in again.

It would be easier to include required libs in image (need to build your own).

Use this post_makeinstall_target() function in packages/lang/Python2/package.mk

this did not worked but my 2to3 version was from a 3.x python...

Python libs are needed and not this binary.

Recompiling with proper flags not removed did the trick. Could I merge this in main branch ?

Only what is missing is downloaded. Most of the packages I have for ages.

I meant the LibreELEC packages. I started it all over tonight. Wasn't able to git checkout to 9.1.002 released today though but not that much of a big deal I used 9.1.001.

BTW does someone knows why lib2to3 is removed on purpose ? I guess Google Music isn't the only addon broken by that

Seems samba can't be build anymore for me?
