MK808b plus firmware

Hello,

I was reading the forum to find a suitable firmware for my old MK808b plus tv box. But I didn't menage to find any.

Could someone guide me to the proper firmware?

Storage	8 GB (NAND Flash) internal + MicroSD/SDHC Memory Slot (upto 32GB)
RAM	1 GB (DDR3) RAM

Graphics	Mali-450MP GPU
Connectivity	HDMI 1.4b , 1 x USB 2.0 host port + 1 x Mini-USB OTG-port, Bluetooth 4.0, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, 1 x Mini-USB for DC-power

What OS do you want for your MK808B Plus? I have the Android, Ubuntu, OpenELEC, and LibreELEC images for this device. I can post to Dropbox.

Which OS is better and works without problems?

I would like to try OpenELEC or LibreELEC.

I want OS to boot from SD or USB.

Which version of android do you have?

That would depend upon your usage. My stick has been retired for two or three years, I don't even remember what OS it is running. I used it mainly as my Tvheadend DVR server, not even connected to a TV.

I will post all the files that I show in that pic, and you can try each one.

One of the files that I uploaded is the LibreELEC tar file. You can burn that tar file to a microSD card using either Etcher, or Rufus. Inset the card, and depress the reset button with a paper clip as you apply power to your device. Been two or three years since I used that stick, so my instructions may be missing some items..........

Perhaps others on here can give you better instructions.........

Here is my video that I made almost 4 years ago about this stick running OpenELEC, I believe... I am not sure if I just used the TAR file to upgrade to LibreELEC, or I did a clean install.

There's a version of Alexelec for this device running the latest Kodi 18.4.

Unfortunately AlexELEC's release doesn't have bluetooth support, at least not for the mk808b+

I just picked up a bunch of these from matricom for cheap:

OmniStick S8X Linux Kodi [18.5] Media Center Mini PC

when I got them I took one apart and realize it shares hardware with the MK808B plus.

This thing has Bluetooth in it and all MK808B firmware runs on it and works with bluetooth etc. Do you or clarkss12 know of any Kodi 18+ firmwares that work with bluetooth for this type of device?

Would it be possible to grab an openelec and libreelec zip, ideally not a tar but beggars can't be choosers, I'll take anything at this point.

Also, it's been such a long time since I've played around with these it's become a bit of a blur, device tree is only relevant for s90x?
