I've a Wetek Core and I've just intalled LibreELEC Alpha 7.90.004.
I've configured IPTV Simple Client correctly (with the alpha version it's working great and it's very optimize, great work 
).
I would like to enable recording for IPTV based on EPG.
I found this thread that seems to be interesting LibreELEC.
Did you suggest me to procced in this way or there are other good ways to enable recording?

Iptv simple does not record. Tvheadend records and supports ip streams.

I also have this issue. In my list I have several channels in .ts. These all all mapped to services, but I also have .mp4 (movies) feeds that Tvheadend simply ignores. When the mux fails then it does not convert it to service. Is it possible to add "dead" muxes to services?

No. Mux must be alive.
Custom muxes can be forward over ffmpeg (mux url start with pipe:///usr/bin/ffmpeg.....)

I'm trying to make a setuo with Tvheadend 4.2 but when I try to create the Automatic IPTV Network (because I have a m3u index), only few channels are ported to the services (like 10 of 1000).
Any idea on the reason?Than, of thoose 10 none of the EPG are imported and I can't figure out the reason.
