Some questions

    I've been using a home built PC running Windows 7 and WMC for some time. It works great for watching and recording TV as well as videos I've put on the HDD. Not only can I watch from the pvr but my LG TV can actually stream from it without my needing to go to the pvr at all. However, it is dated, it cannot play mkv nor h.265. I'd like to build a new one or just buy one that can do what I want. So, can this program be paired with a remote? Can it is be paired with a TV decoder? Can it play mkv and h.265? Finally, would I still be able to stream from my LG TV without having to go to the pvr? Is there a pre-built system that already has all this covered?
