ODROID C2 update to v9 -> 4k problems

Dear community,

I did the update from the latest v8 release to v9 which was running very smoothly. The only problem I have is, that I can't switch the display resolution of the UI to 3840x2160 any longer. The resolution is offered in the menu but the switch is not successful.

In addition, playing 4k content often fails and has now massive dropouts and artefacts.

Does anyone else face these issues?

yep, something similar happens here too.

I can switch to 2160p 60Hz, but then the TV screen flickers, 'HDMI blink' or however that is called. Switching to 1080p 60Hz fixes the problem, but defeats whole purpose of C2 in my case.

Hi Guys,

I can confirm same issue on my side in Libreelec 9.0.

When I switch UI menu in KODI to 2160p@60 picture start flickering.

4K playback has some issues and dropouts too.

OdroidC2(LE 9.0)

TV Panasonic 4K.

Same here (HDMI Blink).

No problems with LE 8 4k or 1080p LE 9.0.

I will check the logs tomorrow.

Same here with Odroid C2 and Libreelec 9.0.1, UHD Resolution caused Out of sync on TV. Any 4k Material Not playable.

Switched to 8.2.5 on the same device, works perfectly.

I recommend to try these LE options ON Odroid C2. This will allow you to check on which 4K TV the KODI interface works. I pay attention while the video of the 4K format does not work on Odroid C2.

Does that 4k material have AAC audio? There seems to be a problem with AAC audio making all kinds of trouble even with 1080p.

no audio with AAC since 9.0

there is an big issue with LE9 and passing sound codec via hdmi to some decoder on various hardware. It is just unsuable
