Crash at startup: failed to load resource.language.en_us language information

  • Hi,

    I'm using libreELEC 8.95.003 Generic.x86_64.

While browsing through the menus Kodi suddendly crashed and rebooted. After the reboot the Kodi splash screen blinked about three times before Kodi eventually boots into safe mode. The last error in the log hints to

    Code
22:24:11.263 T:140614426986624 ERROR: unable to load resource://resource.language.en_us/langinfo.xml: Failed to open file at line 0
22:24:11.263 T:140614426986624 FATAL: SetLanguage: CLangInfo: failed to load resource.language.en_us language information

I remember shortly before Kofi updated a bunch of language files (I saw the update notifications popping up). However so far I could not figure out from where this error is triggered.

It seems like you missed a couple of things when censoring your log file. Stuff from banned 3rd party add-ons can mess up Kodi's core functionality pretty badly. Why not make a fresh start without the crap repos and see if things work normally?
