Reboot when opening a Canon CR2 raw image with RAW image decoder plugin

Hello,

I'm not sure if this is the right place for my problem, I hope someone can help me or give me a hint.

Issue: When Opening a CR2 RAW Picture from my external USB Drive with the RAW Image Decoder Plugin, Libreelec shows looks like freezing and after a while it restarts Libreelec.

Tested with my Raspberry Pi 3 and the latest RAW Image Decoder Plugin from Official Repository:

v8.95.2 Beta
v8.90.009 Alpha
v8.90.007 Alpha

The RAW file is about 10MB, due to the upload limit here I used a free service for the file. It will be unfortunately deleted after 30days.

Opening the same image on a Debian or Windows 10 system works, so i assume the image is fine.

Your demo picture doesn't load for me in Kodi 18RC4 in Ubuntu Linux 1604. Kodi doesn't crash, but there is no thumbnail and no picture displayed. It does display on Ubuntu's own picture viewer, just lots of error entries in the log.

and this is spammed numerous times quite a lot. I suggest you open a ticket and report the bug along with every info possible.

Thanks for your additional investigations under kodi!!! I can agree with you, no thumbnail neither any "exif" data is shown.

I assumed that libreelect is crashed because it shows no reaktion in the menu and after a few seconds the libreelec bootscreen appeared again and the default screen was shown.

Next step:

I'll try to enable debugging in the advancesettings.xml (that's my understanding how it works) and create a github ticket with the log and RAW image here: GitHub - xbmc/imagedecoder.raw: RAW image decoder for Kodi

FYI, the Kodi developer who authored raw support is currently on a long vacation so you might not get a quick answer.
