LibreELEC v17.3 crashes on Some Video Files -> How to search the Logs for the reason?

    Hi everyone,

    I'm running a LibreELEC Kodi v17.3 (Krypton afair) on a rPI 3.

    I have the problem, that some Movie Files won't play at all, but crash Kodi or the whole System and some are causing Kodi to crash in the middle of the playback.
    After the crash in the middle of the playback the movie won't play at all for some tries.

    How can I find the reason for the crashes?
    I tried to search the logs for any reason, but did not found anything.

    Can you give me any hints, for what kind of entrys I have to look for?

    I allready asked in the Kodi.tv Forums and they asked me to post it to this LibreELEC Forum.

    That's why it's a good idea to let the pro's have a look at them ;)

    Please provide a full debug log.

    How to post a log (wiki)

    1. Enable debugging in Settings>System Settings>Logging
    2. Restart Kodi
    3. Replicate the problem
    4. Generate a log URL (do not post/upload logs to the forum)

    use "Settings > LibreELEC > System > Paste system logs" or run "pastekodi" over SSH, then post the URL link

    So the following happend in the meantime...

    I discovered that I installed Openelec instead of LibreELEC *duh*

    So I upgraded to LibreELEC with Kodi 17.6

    Some of the Movies are running now. Some still don't.

    I created a Debug-Log like Klojum mentioned.

    Also I copied the Crash-Log.

    Clean install the current beta. If necessary do a selective (manual) restore of DB files from a previous install .. but you need to lose all the addon cruft that OE added else all we can see in logs is the entire Kodi language addons set updating. I'm sure there's some vide playback in the log somewhere, but I gave up looking for it.

    Once you have a clean install .. retest and if necessary run "cat /storage/kodi/temp/kodi.log | paste" and share the URLs
