Will LE Backup-Restore copy splash screen change?

There are several threads on updating the LE boot screen:

Question: Will this boot screen update be transferred via LE Backup-Restore feature on top of a fresh LE Leia install?

Will this boot screen (and other Restore updates) be preserved with installtointernal?

If you changed the Kodi splash (and the new splash lives under /storage/.kodi somewhere) it will be included in a backup. If you changed the LE boot splash in the boot partition it will not be included.

NB: LE doesn't ship images with installtointernal scripts so anything in that direction isn't our problem.

What was the last LE version that shipped with installtointernal ?

For newer versions, how could you do internal install? Via Amlogic burn tool?

LE has never shipped anything official with that script included.

Oh I see. So that installtointernal script was limited to kszaq builds? There is no official LE policy change?

Not at the moment. Maybe in the future (but in a different fashion) once things go mainline, although that will require a complete reinstall anyway as the mainline kernel does not support Amlogic's custom partition scheme.
