How to edit advancedsettings.xml S912 UH9 NEO MINIX

    Trying to make it workt with mysql/ Maria DB10.

    I made the Kodi account in Phpadmin gave it all privileges.

    Now if I understand correctly I need to edit advancedsettings.xml somehow and redirect the library to the MYSQL database.
    No idea on how I am gonna do that but before that I need to find how to edit the advancedsettings.xml.

    Found it.
    Needed to use SMB to acces userdata folder and create it.

    Now as to how to add MYSQL functionallity. Would love to know the answer to that still.

    If You're a Windows user You can use WinSCP to connect and edit 'advancedsettings.xml' directly.

    Just as a reminder:

    1. Make a habit to use IP addresses instead of DNS names to assure that the connections are properly made.

    2. Add a 30 sec start delay to Your "LE box" to ensure that network is up before it tries to connect to Your DB.

    When correctly setup and working You can save Your 'advancedsettings.xml' and re-use it on all other devices.

    My central SQL server has been running on my NAS for quite some time without any issues what so ever even though I've changed all LE boxes several times. Just add the .xml files (sources and advancedsettings) and off You go...
