LibreELEC 8.2.5 wrong date and time

LibreELEC 8.2.5 clean install but the date is showing 3/24/2018 which is very odd because I have not had any issue with any raspberry pi 3 installation. I have set the ntp server and click on wait for network before starting kodi. If I use pool.ntp.org I’m 40 minutes ahead but wrong date, and if I use north-america.pool.ntp.org I’m 20 minutes behind and still wrong date.

I also notice if I load LibreELEC from noobs and change the time zone it will have the correct time and date.

you have to set the region on settings -> appearance -> international (settings mode expert)

SK sorry i don't see your path, but on my Kodi, but attached file to show you my settings, and yes in expert mode.

Using the default skin, you need to set the date/time in System (Cogwheel) --> Interface Settings --> Regional

ok already done that. as per attached photos. this a clean install except for video calibration to the screen

My mistake: Try 0.us.pool.ntp.org and 1.us.pool.ntp.org as NTP server 2. Then show what difference the time is. Also do you have a RTC installed?

Also try turning off "wake for network"

If still no success , provide a log file (See my sig)

ok now 3 hours behind and the date is still showing 3/24/2018 and no addon just clean install just using to play mkv only

weird i enable WiFi, i rebooted and it show correct time and date. FYI: i have built other raspberry pi 3 device (not LibreELEC)
in the recent past without an issue.

Do you have 'Wait for network' enabled in the LibreELEC Settings addon?

Enable it anyway, and set a 30 second timeout for a RPi.

Iridium sorry for the delay with or with ntp setting with and without would come up with up with different time and date.
I tried with three other raspberry pi 3 same issue. my modem/router (all in one) went down and out and replace with a
modem and separate router and all is good.now.
