Glad it's all sorted and turned out to be something simple.

Yes. Very happy it was an easy fix. I had envisaged having to try and replace all my cat5e cables for cat6!
I can only assume that the cable wasn't quite seated correctly in the switch or may have been dirty and that taking it out and putting it back in must have resolved it.
I am also going run this test on my Minix and see where the problem is coming from.
run ethtool eth0 via ssh and look if duplex & speed are OK
Should be:
Speed: 1000Mb/s
Duplex: Full
Hope this helps..
It seems your issue is with something else.

I think the issue is playing ISO UHD files..
That network test seems to check out fine.
Try extracting the largest file from the stream folder of the ISO and playing that instead.

Agree.
I have only one UHD ISO file - Playback sucks
Ripped .mkv is playing smooth.

Don't have any issue playing UHD ISO on Nvidia Shield, there should be a way to fix it as this a very solid media player.

I don´t know - could be hardware limitation of our cheap S90x boxes
Hey Guys, I'm having this issue too. Here is my raw test file from my Gopro Hero 6: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1zbc7ztuddzrnz4ufdlkkslksjqehh-qj
My network is on:
Speed: 1000Mb/s
Duplex: Full
I've also tried directly inserting the sdcard and playing the file/s from there - same issue. Footage starts to play then pauses with a buffering/loading sign.
