Intel NUC Gemini Lake (NUC7CJYH) - HTPC

  • Nah the thing is, I know a bit more now, it's a linux thing - linux needs some work before HDR is ok - it's a little way away, then Kodi has to add it.

I'd be surprised if we had HDR in less than 18 months from now. After then, maybe a good chance?

By then, a new, low power NUC might be out with HDMI 2.1 too, so win win.

    Gotta go without I guess.

smp has an experimental build here with HDR working.

    Intel true 10bits/HEVC/HDR support... ?

I would try it out, but don't have a 4K HDR TV, still rocking a Panasonic Plasma I got in 2012, lol. But will probably update eventually

  • I have a nuc N3150 (braswell) with a tv hdmi 1.3 and an avr hdmi 1.4 (denon )

I want to change cause with this setup i have many blackscreen (handshake ? ) issue during refresh rate change

tried solution like forcing custom edid (with forced 8 bpc and forcing inteface) but only solution is to change hdmi input from remote tv

Tried via hardware with dr hdmi...no way

Could someone with a more recent avr (hdmi 2.0 ) and a more recent nuc confirm that doesn't have this bug ?

I want a confirm please before spend other moneys

    thank you

Ps:Why intel doesn't have it's own section as rpi etc ?
