HD44790 display to S9xx box

    Hi there,

    I intend to buy a cheap (very!) S9xx box and modded to add an hd44790 based oled/lcd/vfd and change the case a with more hifi looking one.

    My question is if there is any i2c connection on motherboard. I did one stb with odroid c2 before, I want to do a new one, but cheaper.

    Do somebody have such information?

    If you get a box with a FD628 display (like T95m and the like), you could modify it by using the pins on the FD628 controller chip to access GPIO pins. And from the DTB file, you can find out which GPIO pins its connected to. I'm not sure if there are exposed GPIO in normal boxes.
