No Bluetooth only with LibreElec

  • Hi guys,

    ive recently purchased a Minix U9-h, set it all up on USB with LibreElec, grabbing files from a HP Gen8 Server Running DSM over NFS/1gigabit lan

    using LibreELEC-S912.arm-8.2-8.2.2.3 & gxm_q200_2g_minix_neo_u9.dtb

    everything is working pretty good, bit annoyed it doesnt ruin the 200mbps jelly fish very smooth as i read reviews it did

    main problem is in the LibreElec app it says no bluetooth devices found, but it doesn't even look like its searching for anything! the adaptor is turned on from the services page, am i doing something wrong? i can pair if i take the usb out and run the oem software

  • Also, abit off topic, i purchased this yesterday with tons of research, its for my LG OLED, my Amazon FTV lost its purpose when i started downloading 4K HDR rips, so i just want to carry on streaming off my server with the ability todo 4k HDR too, thats all really

    did i choose the right streamer or should i have got the Nvidia Shield or ATV? its not too late and i dont mind spending up to £200

    Thanks

    Bluray official Specs list 128Mbps as the max bitrate for 4K HDR - so basically no one cares if a 200Mbps test clip does not run smoothly.

    I've not seen a test 4K HDR REMUX that included lossless HD audio exceed ~ 75Mbps and that was all smooth.

    Is Kodi Refresh switching set to Start/Stop ?

    Are you connected to a TV's HDMI 2.0 port ?

    Just tested the U9 with LE 8.2.2.3 and Bluetooth and it is definitely working after I enabled it in LE Settings > Services

    PS. If you use the word "test clip" you can get away with testing and troubleshooting anything and not upset "Chewbacca" ! ;)

    Mentioning downloading - a No No.

    The Shield has no auto colorspace switching for SDR / HDR and broken 10bit depth outputs after refresh switching when viewing 4K HDR content, plus it's 1080p > 4K picture upscaling is terrible vs an Apple TV 4K or what you would get from a modern 4K TV.

    It has a way to go before being considered a serious, set and forget Kodi 4K HDR movie player platform for demanding users.

    It does have Atmos passthrough audio tho.

    Apple TV does pretty much everything but Atmos & DTS:X Audio passthrough. You cannot install a stable Kodi Krypton. The MrMC App has to be used which means no extra Kodi Skins or Addons can be installed over what is already included. Great powerful hardware the ATV 4K.
