R Pi 3 - LibreElec - Ethernet Speed

    Hi

    i have LibreElec on my pi 3

    and i have a 100mb download speed conection , but when i test it on kodi using speedtest.net addon i get only 40mb download

    then i do the same on my pc and i get 94mb download speed.

    the upload speed is okay on both , i have 2mb upload limited by ISP

    the weird thing is that i can pass the 40mb on my Pi 3 and i checked in the kodi setting , and nothing is set to limit the download speed

    please help me solve this issue

    That figure sounds about right for Raspberry Pi hardware. Pi networking is designed to be functional not high performance, and it is "good enough" for playing media from a NAS device somewhere else in the network. It will never equal the throughputs seen on a desktop/laptop with fast internal bus speeds and a 20x faster CPU.

    okay , thanks for the accurate answer, i just expected it to reach 70 out of 100,

    i guess i will upgrade to anther streamer later , but meanwhile i am happy with my RPI 3 libre-elec
