Get back movie database after deleting userdata/Database/MyVideos

  • Hello

I just deleted the database MyVideos99.db from .kodi/userdata/Database/ to get movie informations in the language I changed in the movie information addon for TMDB. But now the movies are completly gone (not the files).
Also nothin happens when I press the "update library" entry.

Hope I can avoid install LibreELEC completely new.

    Thanks

People don't just delete databases for the heck of it. But you thought it was necessary? And yes, of course all your video entries and information is gone when you delete your database. I wonder, what else did you expect after doing that?

You won't have to reinstall LibreELEC, but you will need to set the content again for your video source(s), and do a full scrape of your video collection.

Also, please don't open a new topic for every single question that you have.
I'm referring to this other forum topic: LibreELEC

  • Solution:

To add them again go to Video → Files → "YOURFOLDER" → Context Menu → Edit Source → Ok → And choose again content type = Movie

Sorry, I don't understand that sentence correctly I think. But yes, I found no other option. I already made this with OpenELEC and there I also searched for other solution befor ... Changing the language to use for summaries and other metadata doesn't work
But I still know no other way... LibreELEC

  • For future reference...
If you want to refresh a whole bunch of files then you can either...
    -remove them from the kodi source (ie cut and paste them into a different folder), hit the clean library button and let kodi do it's thing, then stick them back and update the library - at which point they'll be re-scanned;
or (if it's all or most of the files in a source):
Go to videos, navigate to the source and in the context menu change the content to 'none' - then clean the library, set the content back to 'Movies' (or whatever) and re-scan.

    Why this is now deleted?

    kodi change movie database language:
    LibreELEC

This was an other question is there is still no solution?

    This is not nice!

That has already been explained to you. There is no need having several different topics for the same set of questions. You already have your aswer in this topic from your question in the other opened topic.
