USB problem

  • Hi guys!

I have run Android 6 on my MXQ PRO for a while now and it was really slow.

Today is the day i found Libreelec which looks really promising.

The problem for me is i can't use the USB ports.

Any idea ? I have some information regarding my setup bellow.

And please let me know if you need something more.

    LibreELEC-S905.arm-8.0-8.0.2e.img

    Linux LibreELEC 3.14.29 #1 SMP Wed Jul 5 09:55:25 CEST 2017 aarch64 GNU/Linux

    cat /proc/cpuinfo gJXG

    dmesg gRYY

    Thanks in advance!

  • 1.Have you tried all usb ports

2.Have you tried from microsd card

3.Have you got the correct device tree

4.Have you read the installation instructions

5.Have you followed the installation instructions

    6.Do You have a S905 device or a S905X

  • 1. Yes

    2. I have the img files for Libreelec in my sd slot

    3. I have right dbt file, yes

    4. Yes

    5. Yes

    6. I don't know , how can i check?

Also i can tell that i can't use any newer version then that one i run. Because LE doesnt boot up when i try to install a new version.

  • If you read & followed the installation guide, then you would have tried to install Libreelec to usb/sd first.

So Android would not have been touched.

I do not know how to find out the box specs, so unless someone else can help, my suggestion is

Download the latest image for s905/s905x (same image) 8.1.10 [8.1.10] LibreELEC 8.2 for S905/S905X

burn, the image to microsd using rufus. then trying the device trees one at a time.

Try the S905X from Index of /s905/8.2/device_trees/S905X choose one, depending on the RAM size

If they don't work, try the device trees from S905 Index of /s905/8.2/device_trees/S905 device tree depends on RAM & LAN 100MBit or 1Gbit

    Sorry, I can't help more.

Note, you do not have to burn the image every time, you can just copy the dtb.img to the root each time.

  • Hi

I have installed the CPU-Z tool in my android.

    It does only say:

    4x arm cortex-a53 @ 1.51GHZ

    I have now tested with:

    LibreELEC-S905.arm-8.2-8.1.10.img

and 3x differnt dtb files without success.

    S905 device tree:

    gxbb_p200_1G_100M.dtb

    gxbb_p200_1G_1Gbit.dtb

    gxbb_p200_1G_mxq_pro_4k.dtb

Oh nh nice it worked with s905x dtb file:)

    It means i have s905x ?

    Thanks
